Enys Honey

Rodger Dewhurst has kept hives in the walled garden at Enys since 1998 and we have sold our own honey through the cafe for the last five years. The bees have a wide variety of plants at their disposal including many Eucalyptus and Sequoia. Rodger has called our honey "Tinkerbell" due to its light, delicate citrus flavour.

The isolated nature of the Enys gardens has meant that Rodger has been able to develop the apiary site as a native bee conservation site and as a result of his research work at Enys, in 2008 Rodger was awarded the Josef Stark Scholarship Foundation by of SICAMM in 2008.
